I was a Medical Corpsman in the US Navy during the first Gulf War. After completing my service I worked in a variety of medical capacities, such as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Phlebotomist, and Histology Technician.

I decided to shift gears, and completed a BFA in graphic design. I worked in advertising, art directing for print, web, and video. After a time, I married my two professional skill sets by completing an MSc in Medical Art.

I find the effort to demystify complex subjects for a lay audience extremely fulfilling. The opportunity to strive to do so is both a fascinating challenge and a solemn privilege.
